The castle was erected by Peder Oxe in the 16th century in Renaissance style. The beautiful park is open to the public and is a fine starting point for walks into Tølløse forest. All traffic must be on foot, only, via trample-path.

In the enclosed Dogs' forest, dogs may be let loose without harming the game. Maps can be downloaded from: www.spor.dk.
