The Ladegård Forests form one of Holbæk’s five wildlife corridors covering 510 acres of woodland, fields and pens for Scottish highland cattle. The corridors stretch from the Fjord at Strandparken to the Ladegård grounds.

Today Holbæk Nature School is located in the Torbenlund Forest. The school has wild boar, red and roe deer and an aurochs, which are all applied for educational purposes.The old hedgerows of the Ladegård grounds can be seen in the landscape in the shape of windbreaks planted a hundred years ago as land boundaries. This old manor house landscape is mainly used for agricultural purposes.
