Holbæk offers many chances to »go to sea« – in more ways than one.

One may of course take one’s own yacht or motorboat all the way down the Isefjord to Holbæk, where it begins; and lay by in one of four very different harbours and experience the good local life.

Or one may go on one of the excursion vessels for anglers, or enjoy the coast of the island of Orø or one of the many other angling spots along the Isefjord with one’s own fishing rod. Remember to acquire a fishing licence at Holbæk Tourist Office.

If you are drawn by long white beaches, you may go north to Odsherred, but you can also swim at a lovely small  »blue flag« beach on Orø, or at the newly established beach at Holbæk’s new harbour in central Holbæk.

Bathing is also possible at »Søbadet Venedig« – Holbæk’s blue-flag station – or go to Ugerløse open-air swimming baths.  So Holbæk is a good place for people who are keen on water activities.
